These sweet pastries not only make for a tasty dessert but also serve as a fun and creative way to teach the story of Jesus' resurrection to children and families. Here's a simple recipe for making resurrection rolls:
Ingredients:
1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
Large marshmallows (one for each roll)
Melted butter
Cinnamon sugar mixture (optional) Instructions:
Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the crescent roll dough package.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
Explain to your children or guests that the marshmallows represent Jesus' body being laid in the tomb.
Dip each marshmallow in melted butter, coating it completely.
Roll the buttered marshmallow in the cinnamon sugar mixture if desired.
